Last-Minute Whimsical Wishes

" Last Minute Whimsical Wishes "

by Suzán Jiván

Performed on YouTube

Last-minute whimsical wishes
of innocence crowded in
with throbbing and thriving
under blue skies
commingling
effortlessly
with red and white wines
divided by a horizon line
turned upside down
set off by a diamond pattern
with fascinating patterns
of randomness
in graduating grays
squarely in place
as constant change
shared by a preoccupation
with setting a truncated stage
being pelted by rain
frame by frame
otherwise naked
except for suggestive red
Empathetically presented
in battlefields and trenches
as widely avoided attempts
at the cerebral as well as the sensual
like medleys of color-coded bells
let alone everything else
Slyly suggestive
as an assemblage
of objects in question
like an underbelly
slightly pumped up
but not exactly ugly
along a jagged span
of the hopelessly romantic
furiously fast at striking a match
made by flashing masculinity
in the vicinity of femininity in silhouette
While in the works with permission
to sit in a giant labyrinth
of stand alone significance
as an idealized figure
depicted as a walking stick
for a recent acquisition
of a horned griffin
with a gorgon face
draped in a lion-skin cape...
